About All Points

Over 38 years ago, a group of Central Virginia business leaders with The Babcock & Wilcox Companies leveraged their good business sense and genuine compassion to help their employee population by forming an employee assistance program (EAP). The EAP would reach out to workers to help them in resolving personal and professional struggles that encumbered their workplace performance and productivity. That organization became Employee Assistance of Central Virginia, Inc. (EACV), established in 1977, and later incorporated in Virginia as a nonprofit organization in 1979.

Started by Central Virginia employers for Central Virginia employers, EACV remained true to the focus of serving the needs of the Region 2000 business community. However, as one of our customers noted, we are “always seeking new and innovative ways to service the constantly changing workplace.” While we have strived to remain loyal to Central Virginia business and have resolved to hold fast to the Core Technology of the EAP field, we have concurrently cultivated an open posture to emerging business trends and opportunities. Customer requests for training and organizational development expertise led to the establishment of an associated division known as People Works in 2002. Likewise, to more fully meet the needs of our organizational customers with divisional locations outside of our immediate geographic area, the All Points EAP division was launched in 2003 to provide face-to-face employee assistance services to work site based employees nationally.

In the spring of 2012, EACV officially transitioned to the name of All Points EAP & Organizational Services, Inc. to more accurately reflect the broadening reach and scope of our services. All Points has been reorganized into three complementary divisions: EAP Works, People Works, and Fit to Work.

Our newest division, Fit to Work, provides al a carte services for both member and non-member employers, who require expertise in drug testing administration, fitness for duty evaluations, and substance abuse evaluations under the auspices of the U.S. DOT and the NRC.

All Points has grown from serving one organization at the time of its inception in 1977 to providing consultation services to approximately 100 companies in 2015. Companies report that All Points helps retain, support, and develop employees, their most valuable assets, which concurrently assists in containing costs, maximizing human performance, and boosting organizational productivity and profitability.
